$395 million invested in roads

It has been reported that the government of Azerbaijan invested around $395 million in the repair and construction of almost 1,900 km roads and bridges.

Work started on a highway widening project which will connect the capital Baku with the cities of Shamakhi and Yevlakh.

The project includes widening the existing two lane road into a four lane road, as well as the construction of two bridges.

The work is expected to be completed in 2020.
